“Metanoia” is the name of a song released on my last album. It’s also a Greek word that denotes conversion. Literally it means “beyond the mind” and, in graduate studies, my teacher said the essence of the term is to “think differently.” This song is about letting go of distorted views and instead choosing more life-giving perspectives. In doing so, we set ourselves free to return to love. As we approach the religious holidays of Passover and Easter, it seems appropriate to share a message about the liberating and transformative shifts that can happen in our lives. To hear “Metanoia,” visit the MUSIC page of this website. It is the eleventh track on the “Calling Deep” album. May you be inspired!

Drunk on emotions
You’re lost in an ocean
Where all you can see is this ever blue-green
At first it’s enticing
But soon it’s a vice and
When you see the horizon you’ll know what it means
To think differently
Beyond the mind
To all that could be
You’ve got to think differently
Return to love
And set yourself free
Perversions of truth
Have surely robbed you
Of the honest expression born into your heart
But stop playing the victim
Embrace all that wisdom
Trust your experience knows where to start
To think differently
Beyond the mind
To all that could be
You’ve got to think differently
Return to love
And set yourself free
Metanoia
Metanoia
Metanoia
Think differently
Beyond the mind
To all that could be
You’ve got to think differently
Return to love
And set yourself free
Set yourself free
To think differently
